Can you collect a cheque for us?

Would you be able to attend a presentation of the funds raised last year by the Rotary Club of Ravenshead and Blidworth, in partnership with Rainbows Children’s Hospice? You are invited to one of their meetings for a cheque presentation, where you’ll have the opportunity to thank them and say a few words about the charity. There are various dates and venues available to choose from that run into 2026. If you’re interested, please contact us for the full list of options.

Can you run an awareness stand in your local community?

Can you research local events such as plant sales, car boot sales and school fetes and see if you can set up an awareness stand? All you need to do is arrange a table and we can provide all the materials for you to set up on the day.

If you're interested in setting up an awareness stand and would like more information, please get in touch with the volunteering team.

Can you give an awareness talk?
Talks are one of the most powerful ways you can reach a large group of people with meningitis awareness. We have an off-the-peg meningitis short awareness PowerPoint talk, and we will give you lots of friendly support so you feel confident and well prepared.

  • Sixth forms and universities - You could contact your local sixth forms, colleges and universities to ask if you could give a short talk to the students.
  • In your local community  -  Do you belong to any community groups such as Rotary groups or Women's Institutes where you can arrange to give our 20-minute PowerPoint presentation?

Will you host a collection tin?

We recently picked up a collection tin from a local builder's merchant, which had £90 in. These collection tins all add up and are the easiest way to fundraise. Please will you order two collection tins to put in local businesses? The money raised will help fund our support and research.
